The Secret Place

God is calling us out of our busyness and into a place of intimacy and seeking His face - He's taking us back to our first love, back to the cross of repentance, cleansing, renewal, holiness and intimacy. He is drawing His Beloved Bride, the Church, out of her busyness and into her intimacy - into the secret place, into prayer and worship. It's a time of transition, learning to be still, learning to listen and wait on God, learning to be quiet and hear His voice. 

"He who dwells in the secret place

of the Most High God shall abide under

the shadow of the Almighty."

Psalms 91:1

We're learning about the Secret Place, that the Father is in there waiting for us to come and be with Him so He can speak to us.

"But you when you pray, go into your room,

and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father

who is in the secret place; and your Father

who sees in secret will reward you openly."

Matthew 6:6

It's about cultivating a heart of intimacy in the secret place, consecrating your heart to Him, dedicating and devoting your time and attention to knowing Him personally and intimately. We do this through prayer, through talking to Him and reading His Word, through sitting quietly and listening for His voice, through meditation and worship, and through learning to follow the flow of the Spirit.
