"And there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you
from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim
which are on the ark of the testimony, about everything which
I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel."
(Exodus 25: 22)
Lord, You said meet You at the mercy seat and You would speak with me there. Here I am, Lord. I come to meet with You here. I come to hear Your voice. I wait upon You.
I see on the mercy seat the blood that's been poured out, the price that's been paid, the blood of the Lamb that's been poured out upon the mercy seat as payment for my sins and the sins of all humanity, and I hear You say, "It is finished, the price has been paid." And I hear You sing in a mighty voice, "Now, open the flood gates of heaven, let it rain, let it rain. Open the flood gates of heaven, let it rain, let it rain."
Lord, I thank You for Your mercy. I thank You for Your blood and Your life that's been given and laid out for us. I thank You for Your grace that now flows out of heaven for us to receive, the unearned, unmerited favor and blessing of God. I thank You that we can't earn it, we can't be good enough for it, we can't even pray enough for it. It is truly a gift of Your love given to us. We receive it, Lord. We receive Your grace. We receive Your love. We receive Your mercy.
We position ourselves to just receive, Lord, to be recipients of Your great grace.
Lord, I receive this mercy and this grace, and I receive it for my life, for my family, for my church, for my city, for my nation and for this world. I receive it, Lord, and I draw upon it. I put a demand upon it and draw upon it for a great deposit in this desperate hour. I apply the blood and I receive Your grace. Amen
